The Boterwaag is a weighing house in Nijmegen, located on the Grote Markt and built around 1612-1613 according to a design by Cornelis Janssen van Delft. Its Renaissance-style features show similarities to the work of Hendrick de Keyser. The building was restored in 1886 by Jan Jacob Weve.
The city weighing house was located on the right (west) side of the building. On the ground floor, there was a meat hall, with gates allowing carts and wagons to enter, and inside, three rib-vaulted ceilings supported by pillars. For a time, several residences were also set up within the building. Until 1885, the military main guard of Nijmegen was stationed on the upper floor.
